Pixel Pier...New Media Showcase

Welcome to Pixel Pier, the new media showcase of Bournemouth University's esteemed Interactive Media Production course.

The show will feature the hard work of all 3rd year students, currently designing a range of new media platforms, including: Web design / Animation / Interactive novels / 3-D game engines / Interactive street art...plus much much more!

Take a look at the profiles section, and have a look at each project individually. You'll be able to find out a little more about the students themselves, whilst also link through to any work online.

The Show...

The main show is due to be held over the 2nd to the 3rd of June 2008, at the Rich Mix Foundation in Bethnal Green, London, with the official launch evening on Monday the 2nd, from 6pm - 11pm, followed by a day event, running on Tuesday the 3rd, 10.30am - 9pm.

An exclusive preview show will also be taking place at our very own base in Bournemouth, at the University's Media School. This has now been confirmed for Saturday, the 31st of May, 12pm - 4pm.

Guests will include Bournemouth media school representatives, industry professionals, as well as the students themselves, and we'd love you to come and join us.

Well it is all over now sadly, but the London show on the 2nd and 3rd of June was a complete success. Our thanks go out to all our industry guests that attended, to our sponsors Emak Mafu and Redweb, Joe Flintham for keeping us pointing in the right direction, the students who showcased their work (and especially the ones that helped set up) and to Richmix for hosting the event. Pictures will be posted online soon, so keep an eye out for more updates.
So does this mean the end of Pixel Pier? Why no! We will be keeping the site live as a portfolio for all our work. This means that if you missed out on the exhibitions you can still see what amazing work has been created. This also allows you to contact individuals and see their work in your own time.
A big thanks again to everyone involved and everyone's efforts to make this happen.
